Sometimes it’s the little extras that can make a real difference to your camping experience. Here we share some of our top tips on how to level up your next camping trip.
Carve Out Time to Explore
Pre plan some time to explore the area. It provides a change of scenery from the campsite and allows you to try activities you wouldn’t get to experience at home. Researching the area beforehand means you won’t miss out on any hidden gems.
Bring Home Comforts
Nothing quite beats a good night’s sleep, so you’ll want to be as comfortable as possible whilst trying to get some shut eye. An inflatable mattress can make all the difference, plus it won’t take up too much space when packing as all you’ll need to do is inflate it!
Cook in Style
A slow cooker is brilliant when camping in a motorhome because you can prepare a one pot recipe in the morning and leave it to cook whilst exploring during the day. You may also want to consider bringing a coffee maker for your morning caffeine fix.
Vacuum bags can be a huge space saver when you go to and from your trip. By sucking all the air out of your tents or mattresses you can make it a much more comfortable trip, without having to feel like a squashed sardine.
Don’t Skimp on the Extras
From all that space you saved vacuum packing, you now have the room for more extras you wouldn’t have otherwise been able to bring. A foldable table and chairs will be a lot more comfortable than sitting on a blanket, especially if the ground is damp.
Stay Charged Up
Not every campsite has electricity, so it’s always worth bringing a portable power bank, whether it be for your phone, your child’s game console or a rechargeable light.
Pre Plan Your Entertainment
Evening entertainment is a crucial part of camping. Telling stories round the campfire, a heated game of cards or watching a movie. But why huddle round an iPad, fighting for the best view, when you can bring the big screen experience with you? Suitcase Cinema is exactly what it says on the tin, a pop up cinema in a suitcase! It has everything you need for the ultimate front row experience wherever you are. Complete with a screen, projector, speaker, and portable power bank. The hardest part is choosing what to watch!
